A school of at least 50 sharks were seen congregating around Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale Tuesday morning.
While not an uncommon sight in South Florida, seeing sharks so close to shore often prompts beach closures.
However, researchers at the Nova Southeastern University Guy Harvey Research Institute say that attacking humans is not part of sharks' migration patterns.
