An early morning car chase cause quite the chaos in one South Florida area after police sought to stop a man alleged to have stolen a car from a Fort Lauderdale dealership.
Police responded to a call shortly after 5:30 AM saying a man was stealing a car from the Mercedes-Benz dealership located at 2411 S. Federal Highway.
As the vehicle, described as a S550, was leaving the lot, police confronted the driver and the chase started. It would end when the driver crashed into a bush near the intersection of Pembroke Road and University Drive, where the suspect attempted to flee.
He was taken into custody, while the intersection was closed during the investigation. No name has been given for the suspect.
