Less than a week after a two year old Nebraska toddler was dragged into a lake at a Disney resort by an alligator, the 911 call from a nearby witness was released.
The female caller tells the 911 dispatcher to send a crew to the Grand Floridian, initially saying that someone drowned in the lake. The caller said she could not see anything on the time looking like a body.
Lane Graves was dragged into the lake while standing nearby with his father before being dragged in by the gator. His father tried to rescue the child, but was unable to and the boy’s body was found nearly a day later following a massive search of the area.
A funeral mass is scheduled for Graves at the family’s Omaha, Nebraska church on Monday.
Officials added signs warning of possible alligators to lakes near the resort and in other areas of the park.
